Area Dog Parks

Remember that your dog should be up to date on all vaccinations before taking him or her to any off-leash dog park.

The park is located on approximately two acres at the corner of North Grand Boulevard and Hefner Parkway in northwest Oklahoma City. Turn north on the paved road east of the Grand Boulevard / Hefner Parkway overpass. Continue north and park by the baseball fields.

A six-foot black vinyl cyclone fence encloses the entire dog park. A system of double gates provides security for the dogs. And within the area is a separate park for the exclusive use of smaller dogs. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

The Edmond dog park is located off the southeast corner of 33rd & Boulevard in Edmond (behind Mardel). The park has recently been renovated to include a sculpture, 3 watering stations (one in the small dog area and 2 in the large dog area) and there are no longer any muddy swamp areas. The city has done a great job restoring the Edmond dog park! The small dog area is really large and the grass is really nice. There are double security gates leading into each area of the dog park.

We haven't visited all the surrounding area dog parks just yet. If you would like to submit your favorite Dog Park location in the OKC area, let me know at emily.hummel@yahoo.com.
